JaquelynAge: 25-34Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5So much fun!October 19, 2021JaquelynAge: 25-34Gender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5This story was a joy to read! I had the hardest time putting it down, and loved every moment I spent reading it. Love on the Range is the third book in the Brother's in Arms series, and having read the other two, I was dying to get my hands on this one! From the very beginning of this series I fell in love with all three brothers. Knowing I was going to get a story for each one actually made me a little giddy. Connealy has a way with characters that makes them so unique, still flawed, and yet easy to love.
This book follows Molly and Wyatt. Molly tends to take care of everyone, whether it's cooking or doctoring. Since Wyatt was shot, taking care of him falls on her shoulders along with everything else. I loved getting to know both of these characters even more. Molly had some secrets that she carried, and she tended to see the world through that brokenness. The chemistry between her and Wyatt was undeniable, and all too fun to watch. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys Historical Romance. Connealy mixes the perfect combination of Romance, Family, and Suspense. Danger lurks around every corner, it's a good thing these brothers and their women all have each other. I received a complimentary copy of this book from Bethany House Publishers and was in no way forced to post a review. All opinions expressed are my own.
Reenie4 Stars Out Of 5an action-packed finale to this series!October 11, 2021ReenieQuality: 4Value: 4Meets Expectations: 4I enjoyed the premise for this series. It was satisfying seeing everything explained and coming to fruition. I liked that all of the main characters from each book had a big role to play in this one which is fitting as they're a family.
The action never stops. There's a huge sense of danger and urgency. Molly, for reasons of her own, decides to go undercover as a housekeeper at Hawkins' ranch. There were a couple scenes there where the tension was palpable. I wanted to play lookout or scream, "He's coming!"
There were a few twists and surprises. I gave this book four stars instead of five because of the "romance" that wasn't really much of a romance. There wasn't much to it. I also felt the little brother, Andy, was a throw away character. He didn't ever really get his moment to shine.
Still, I enjoyed the book. It was a fast-paced read. Thank you to Bethany House for providing me with a free e-copy of this book. All opinions are my own.
ButterflyreviewAge: 55-65Gender: female4 Stars Out Of 5Love on the RangeOctober 10, 2021ButterflyreviewAge: 55-65Gender: femaleWhile his brothers and their new wives search for who shot him, Wyatt Hunt is temporarily bedridden and completely miserable. Somehow Molly Garner's limited skills have made her the most qualified in their circle to care for Wyatt. But by the time he's healed, she's fed up with him and the whole ungrateful family. For even worse than his grumpiness were the few unguarded moments when he pulled at her heartstrings, and she has been long determined to never repeat her mother's mistakes.
When alternate plans of finding her own independent life fall through, Molly volunteers to work for the Pinkertons and help investigate nearby ranch owner Oliver Hawkins. She signs on to be his housekeeper, hoping to find clues to prove his nefarious, and possibly murderous, past. Wyatt refuses to let her risk it alone and offers to act as Hawkins's new foreman.
But when another Pinkerton agent gets shot, they realize Hawkins isn't the only danger. The Hunt brothers will have to band together to face all the troubles of life and love that suddenly surround them.
My review: This is the conclusion to the Brothers in Arms book series. It would be helpful to read the first two books in the series before reading this book. This book picks up where the second book ends. With Wyatt being shot. Molly has the task of taking care of Wyatt. She also is the best cook among all the Hunt brothers and their spouses. Molly finally has had enough of their taking her for granted. So she leaves and gets a job in town as the new school teacher. The brothers are not having that. That starts an entirely new adventure for Molly has undercover spy. In typical Mary Connealy fashion this book is full of mystery and humor throughout.
I recommend this book to all who enjoy a good read. I was given this book by Bethany House Publishing via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. I was not compensated in any way.
Kim H in GASouth GeorgiaAge: 45-54Gender: Female5 Stars Out Of 5Hold on to your horse!October 7, 2021Kim H in GASouth GeorgiaAge: 45-54Gender: FemaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5Wow, this conclusion to the Brothers in Arms series is twisty. Mary Connealy keeps readers guessing and entertained along the way. As always, there are doses of humor, poignant and gripping family dynamics, struggles and hope. The ending is somewhat unexpected and definitely satisfying.
I received a complimentary copy of the book without obligation. This review is my opinion.
Gnomie5 Stars Out Of 5The Hunt is over!October 6, 2021GnomieThe final book in the series about the Hunt brothers. Three brothers who didn't know that the others existed until their no account father died and left property to them in his will. The conclusion brought a lot of twists and turns to the story and more bullet wounds. The final book is Wyatt and Molly's story. I don't want to give anything away so there is lots of humor, as Mary has in all of her books, some romance, shooting, fighting, treachery and spiritual lessons are learned. Excellent!
