Hopeful5 Stars Out Of 5Seeking Clarity From A Biblical PerspectiveSeptember 10, 2015HopefulQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5It was very very comforting to me to read Dr. Dobson's book which succinctly outlines how to handle crisis in marriage as I had been searching and searching through secular writings and books and had learned a tremendous amount about sexual addiction and what tools were available for recovery but I still needed......yes the word is needed ....to know that it would be o.k. to divorce if indeed my husband continued to put porn and acting out with other women and men before our marriage vows. You see.....I really don't want to divorce my husband. I truly believe in the sanctity of marriage. Deep in my gut or maybe my heart I felt my husband was sincere in wanting to change but I was so traumatized by the whole experience of finding out about his double life that I was simply or maybe complexly (if there is such a word) unable to wrap it around my brain that I would ever be able to work through this. Dr.Dobson's outline confirmed to me that the actions I had already taken were the best course of action that I could have taken to have any chance of letting my husband know that what he did was wrong and for our marriage to last he had to make amends and truly change. Frankly, I had already asked my husband to leave the house (separate) because I could not sleep by the time I read the book. It has been three months and we are continuing to work on ourselves. Today I feel there is hope. Thank you with all my heart!

It's easier to avoid confrontations or standing strong because of fear. What it's really about is not letting bad behavior continue. I wish I'd read this many years sooner, but am grateful to have read it now. I've never been disappointed by any of Dr. Dobson's books and would recommend this in a heartbeat.

I purchased this book from Barnes and Noble in Fargo, ND right after Hurricane Katrina. I gave it to a friend to read and never got it back. "Well, you know how that is" I came back home to New Orleans in 6/2006 and tried to purchase this book and was told they no longer printed this book. I was very disappointed. I would encourage anyone who is having a difficult time in a relationship to read this book. It will boost your self-esteem. You will not have to wonder how to handle tough times in your marriage/ relationships. This is a great book.
You have to purchase and read the book. I just cannot tell you everything.

The format made the book not worth the price I paid.

I apply the principles as much as possible. It's not easy but I suppose it's tough to practice tough love during trying times.
