Series: Love Finds You
Carlson had my attention from the first sentence and held it throughout the whole novel with her witty dialogue, giving the characters charisma and making the novel an easy plot to follow. Her dialogue among the three sisters, Faye, Hope and Cherry, brings out the unique characteristics of each girl. Each sister is facing trials in her life--Faye with a divorce, Cherry wanting a divorce, and Hope deciding where to live. Working without each others help, they fail miserably. Once they all come together and allow each other back into their lives, things begin to change for the better. All the changes begin when Hope lets go and gives her life over to God, as in 1 Peter 5:7, setting the example for her sisters.
I recommend this book to all women, young and old, who are going through trials and need encouragement and to any women who enjoy a great love story. Although the underlying message of this novel is to trust God, it is not pronounced in the characters relationships. These relationships show how far people can come when they decide to trust God and let go of their burdens. Hope learns to trust God and finds a variety of forms of love in her hometown of Sisters, Oregon. Kailey Taylor, www.ChristianBookPreviews.com

Carrie Turansky5 Stars Out Of 5December 6, 2009Carrie TuranskyI have enjoyed several of the Love Finds You Series, and this is one of my favorites! Hope returns to her hometown for her beloved grandmother's funeral and learns she will inherit her grandmothers' home, car, dog and surprisingly large bank account if she agrees to lives in Sisters for a year. But her two sisters are not happy about grandma's decision to give it all to Hope. They must all wrestle through past issues and resolve hurts that have separated them for years. Hope's growing relationship with Lewis, her grandmother's lawyer, adds a touch or romance, but most of the story is focused on the sisters' relationships and Hope's journey. Memorable characters and a meaningful story!
