Although Pasteur was an exceptional chemist, he became the pioneer medical micro-biology. Most doctors at this time had no real idea of what caused disease. This biography was exciting to read as it describes his struggles against medical prejudice and superstition. His love of God and concern for suffering are displayed in his integrity and adherence to provable scientific methods. This is an excellent book for all but especially young people interested in medicine or science.
