The Bear Family seems to be outgrowing the tree house. But God has blessed them with happy memories in their home, and no one really wants to move. Can they find a way to stay?
Stan and Jan Berenstain introduced the first Berenstain Bear books in 1962. Mike Berenstain grew up watching his parents work together to write about and draw these lovable bears. Eventually he started drawing and writing about them too. Though Stan died in 2005, and Jan in 2012, Mike continues to create the delightful Bear adventures from his studio in Pennsylvania, in an area that looks much like the sunny dirt road deep in Bear Country.

I remember reading them to my sister when I was young, and now to my own children. You can read and reread about these bears and laugh each time. There is something genuine and pure about them and I love that each story gives a clear message.
From the new Living Light Series is God Bless Our Home.
Ahh, contentment, something I know I have struggled with, just as Papa Bear does in this story. The tree house is becoming too small as his bear cubs grow and he feels that they need a larger home. The cubs don't want to leave all the wonderful memories of their tree house though. Can they find a way to work with what they have?
It is all about perspective really. In many other countries, the smallest of homes here is grand over there. Papa Bear and the family relive many memories in this story and continue to grow as a family. I love how the Berenstein books relate to life and guide, without being overbearing.
