And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God
(Romans 12:2 NKJV)
Written within these pages is the testimony of a determined young woman who refused to accept the harsh reality dealt to her. Through tenacity as a mother, she finally discovered the supernatural transforming power of being reunited with her Creator, and her soul was ignited by the Savior of her destiny. LaNette embraced the wisdom and knowledge held within God-breathed Scripture and internalized the absolute truth. She clearly reveals the generational strongholds and family behavioral patterns that can destroy us, relationships, and squelch our God-given purpose, gifts, and talents.

Tell us a little about yourself. I was raised in a very turbulent environment with poor role models. I followed the patterns in my early teens and become a mother at 16 within an abusive relationship. I had no idea that I could chose another path. One day I realized that I did not want my baby to grow as I did. So the journey for change began with God leading the way too deliverance.
What was your motivation behind this project? I lost both of my brothers within a year of each other, one unexpectedly the other tragically. I wanted to tell our story and reveal the deception of our childhood in their honor.
What do you hope folks will gain from this project? The sameness of our up bringing does not have to define our futures and purpose in life. There is so much more to our existence than what we have been shown or told. We need help to break the cycle. We need to tap into the wisdom that God has provided for us. Only the one who created us can lead us to our destiny with Him.
How were you personally impacted by working on this project? I was in grief when I wrote the book, this was a healing tool for me. I found a tremendous amount of hope, thinking about those like us reading the book and experiencing revelation for change.
Who are your influences, sources of inspiration or favorite authors / artists? Jesus Christ and the Bible, Joyce Meyer, James and Betty Robison, Beth Moore, Joel Osteen, John Maxwell, Dr. Charles Stanley and Dr. David Jeremiah. And all the professors at Liberty University. I was also a student at the time and used my education to correlate tools for spiritual growth and change within my testimony.
Anything else you'd like readers / listeners to know: I pray for the Lord to open your heart, mind, and soul as you read. Ask Him to reveal His absolute truth to you in a way you will understand. Oh how I pray you will understand. And I hope you may be inspired to help others as I have been inspired to help my readers.
