Publisher's Description

To live is Christ has been written by someone who was willing to take the challenge to walk in obedience to Jesus Christ. After losing her husband twelve years ago, with two children to bring up, Alison Hill chose to walk closely with God and to listen to His voice. As you read you will find out how she took hold of God and His teachings at some of the most difficult times in her life, learning to hear the Lord in depth, revealing to us what needs to take place, for us to truly follow the Lord of Lord's and the King of Kings.

This book challenges us to move from our places of comfort and go on a journey of intimacy with God. To listen to Him, instead of just giving our requests or pouring out our complaints. The author tells of her personal trauma of the sudden death of her husband and how that affected her and her family, but through that, God has taken her into a deeper relationship with Himself. She encourages us to dream God dreams and grasp hold of the purposes God has planned for us through intimacy with Himself. We are diamonds in the hands of God, and diamonds are created through great pressure. One chapter is called, Our Purpose is Greater than our pain, it tells how God uses our past to shape our future. The whole book is backed up with scripture and has spurred me on to listen to what God is saying in every situation and circumstance.

Tell us a little about yourself.  I am a mother of two wonderful children and I have been a Christian for twenty years. I love being with friends and family and I have a heart for people knowing just how much God cares for them through the prophetic ministry. I know only God can bring true encouragement into the hearts of His children. I love to travel abroad and especially love Italy.
I like to meet new people with a story to tell. I enjoy eating foreign food and I will have a go and making it. Thai food is my favourite. I have a great sense of humour and love laughing at my own jokes, much to the surprise of those around me.

What was your motivation behind this project?  To bring all that I had learnt about God into the hands of His children, so they too can be encouraged to take deeper steps into the freedom that I have experienced.

What do you hope folks will gain from this project?  A more fulfilling walk with God and to experience hearing His voice throughout their lives. Which ultimately will propel them forward into their destiny in Him. Also to break strongholds from people when they read about my experience of being delivered from grief and depression. As well as giving them confidence to know that they too can walk through some of the difficult times in their lives into a place of victory and purpose.

How were you personally impacted by working on this project?  This brought together many years of what I had learned in book form so that as I wrote I was reminded of God's love and how much He had brought me through. At times it was difficult because it unearthed emotions that I thought were healed and so I was able to move onto a greater healing. It has also spurred me on in the area of believing in myself and that when God calls me to do something He has already equipped me to do it.

Who are your influences, sources of inspiration or favorite authors / artists?  I like the teachings of Joyce Meyer, Bill Johnson who pass on what they have learnt in an easy to understand manner. I love Rick Joyner's books including The Final Quest. My latest favourite book is The Shack by W P Young. I would love to be able to write a story in this style and know that the Spirit of God was moving on the readers, as it did me as I read this book.

Anything else you'd like readers / listeners to know:  Well I simply hope that if you choose to read my book that God would minister healing and revelation to propel you forward into your destiny in Him. God Bless You
