BlessedinMD5 Stars Out Of 5Wonderful collection of literary classics!May 4, 2012BlessedinMDI decided to order this set because my sons (7 and 10) thoroughly enjoyed Little House in The Big Woods (one of my childhood books that we read together for fun). They liked it more than I ever thought they would and we just finished reading Farmer Boy (the 2nd book in the series). These books give them a glimpse of what life was like for American pioneers at the end of the 1800s/beginning of the 1900s. They both have used critical thinking skills when discussing various topics in the books, laughed about some of the happenings, and imagined how the characters felt in different situations. We're looking forward to reading the entire series and I'm so glad to have purchased it!
