Mom, can I have just one more story? Whats a mom to do? I find it hard to say no to that little creature snuggling next to me, trying so desperately hard to avoid going to sleep. Just so I dont have to say no I have squirreled away some books with short stories or poems to read for those just one more story nights.

Little Bunnys Bible is a plush covered board book, with eight poems inside, the perfect length for those nights where you may be running a bit short on time.

Little Bunnys Bible is a great way to introduce your child to Gods word. The author covers key Bible stories, four from the old testament and four from the new testament and shares where each story is located in the Bible. Often times we will grab my sons Bible and read the scripture and follow it with the poem from Little Bunnys Bible.

I love how the author chooses well known Bible stories and tells them in a way that little ones can understand. In the Lost Lamb my son understood that the shepherd was looking for his sheep. Then after we turned off the lights we talked about how God loves us and we are just as precious to him as that little lamb was to the shepherd.

Each poem is accompanied by adorable artwork that captured my sons attention as much as the poems. This past Sunday was Easter Sunday and I often have to monitor the images that my daughter sees, because images of Jesus on the cross really disturb her, and at 5 if she knows Christ died for our sins, that is enough for me. The image choice the illustrator chose to represent the story of Christs death and resurrection was perfect. It wasnt the traditional Christ on the cross, but instead focused on the joy of his resurrection.

The book cover might not stand up to heavy abuse that a very young child may put it through. It is glued on and a good tug will loosen it, and the ears are held down by a single stitch. That being said, the cover is still one of the favourite parts of the whole book. The kids love to hug and snuggle with it.

Little Bunnys Bible is a welcome addition to our book library.

    Title: Little Bunnys Bible.

    Author: P.J. Lyons.

    Illustrator: Melanie Mitchell.

Genre: Christian, Childrens, Classic Bible Stories, Rhymes.

Plot: With a soft cuddly cover of fleece and fuzzy bunny ears, little ones can take their first steps into the wonderful stories of the Bible. With a beautifully illustrated picture full of immense detail yet somehow remaining very simple for small eyes, several favorite stories are told in rhyming text that reads delightfully and rolls off the tongue like honey. From Creation to Noahs Ark, to Jonahs adventure, to Daniel and the Lions Den, we travel, winding up at the birth of Christ, the story of the little lost lamb, the feeding of the five hundred and the true Easter story. This little Bible is the perfect birthday and Easter gift, and its wonderful for that special little someone in your life.

Likes/Dislikes: I was really pleasantly surprised by the cover of this treasure. Its all soft fleece with a cute soft bunny on the front, complete with ears that will doubtless get sucked and chewed on quite a bit. I love how the stories are all told in rhyming poetry; it makes it a joy to read. I gave the book to my almost-one-year-old daughter and she has spent two days investigating the cover, opening and closing the book to see how the bunny disappears, and hugging it while squealing happily. I tried reading it to her but that might have to wait a little longer till her wonder of the cover dissipates somewhat. My only concern is that I dont know how to keep the cover clean, since I obviously cant stick the book in the wash.

Rating: G recommended for 6 months and up {itll make a good chew toy for younger babies otherwise}.

A companion book to Little Chick's Bible, Little Bunny's Bible is a plush, furry board book perfect for a child under 2. The ears are loose, providing something to grasp onto, so the book can be held in a child's hands no matter how small. What a nice book to begin introducing your little one to God's word. The first story in the book begins with creation and includes several favorites for children including Daniel and the Lion's Den, Jonah, the Christmas story, a parable of Jesus', and his ascension into heaven. The illustrations are bright, colorful, and simple which will appeal to the young listener. The book is written by Michigan author, P.J. Lyons and illustrated by Melanie Mitchell. I think both "bibles" are going to be perfect for many Easter baskets this spring. I know they would go in my children's were they the appropriate age.

I did receive this book free from the publisher in exchange for an honest review and was in no way obligated to write a positive one.

When I opened up the packaging, I couldn't stop touching the fuzziness of the book. As an adult, I loved to run my hands through the fur of the cover and the book made it a delight to handle. If an adult loves it so much, so would our precious babes of the world. The bunny's face is so inviting and happy.

The illustrations make all the characters look so happy and inviting to read along with mommy or daddy. All in all, I would give this book a 10 out of 10.

I thought that the cover on The Little Bunny Bible was really cute. It is soft and cuddly. Great for the little person in your life. Each two page spread has a short little poem on the left-hand side and then a fun picture about the Scripture on the right-hand side. I loved the art work. The pictures are so full of color and really cute. The Little Bunny's Bible covers the following stories: Creation (Gen. 1-2); Noah (Gen. 6-8); Daniel (Dan. 6); Jonah (Jonah 1-3); Christ's Birth (Mt. 1:18-24 and Lk 2:1-7); The Lost Lamb (Mt. 18:12-14); Feeding of the Five Thousand (Jn. 6:1-13); Jesus' Death and Resurrection (Lk. 23:44-24:8). This would be a great gift to pick up for a toddler.
