The Institute for Excellence in Writing's Linguistic Development through Poetry Memorization student book provides a mastery-learning based system to help students memorize poetry. This book contains 96 poems covering five levels (poems make up levels 1-4, with speeches for level 5). Each level begins with a daily checklist for tracking recitation-practice and instructions on how to memorize (e.g. highlight the poem, practice daily, etc.). Poems are printed on each page and often include an illustration.
