BeckySalem, ORAge: 45-54Gender: female1 Stars Out Of 5Very cheesy - not at all what we expectedSeptember 21, 2013BeckySalem, ORAge: 45-54Gender: femaleQuality: 1Value: 1Meets Expectations: 1Unfortunately we were unable to preview"Light Speed History of the U.S."- DVD set before purchasing and there is no return or refund on DVD's so we totally wasted our money on this curriculum. We sat down to watch it on the first day of "school" and we both just looked at each other after just a few minutes into the DVD and had to turn it off after about 5 minutes. When they say "Light Speed", they really mean it because they give a very cheesy, somewhat dorky at times, but mostly annoying overview in a very fast pace which makes it hard to really learn anything about the history they are trying to cover. We now have to figure out another "History" curriculum to purchase that will be informative and interesting because this one was a total disappointment. This MIGHT be a good choice if you have really young kids that like cheesy programs, but why waste your time and money because they probably won't remember anything since it is way too fast paced as well.

Q: Workbook other than a CD-ROM? I am interested in purchasing this curriculum but am concerned that there is no way to test or evaluate the content if I don't have a computer with a CD-ROM. Do they have any other workbooks to go along with the curriculum?
No, only the printable pdf materials are available for this series; there are no printed workbooks.
Q: Worldview? I do not see any information regarding the worldview on this series. Can anyone comment?
The publisher of this product attempts to present their information with a neutral world view.
