Fiction Faith and Fun5 Stars Out Of 5What a wonderful conclusion to an amazing series!July 26, 2017Fiction Faith and FunQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5If you haven't started reading The Remnant, you should. And if you've been waiting for the complete series before you begin, you can now read the whole thing. And you should!
A natural catastrophe that knocks out the entire power grid would have huge implications on our lives, and it's not an impossibility. Shelby, Max, and their friends have endured much in the nine months since the flare. Their experiences leave you pondering your own reactions to the trials this collapse would bring.
But more than just the inconvenience of the loss of all modern technology, the characters must deal with their God. How could a good God allow this devastation? Why didn't He spare them? Is He even still listening to their cries?
Light of Dawn brings the series to a close in such a fabulous way. You'll probably still be thinking about the ramifications of an event like that happening in reality, but hopefully you'll face it with the reminder that even if such a thing were to occur, God is still good. Because whatever trials we face in life, we don't face alone if we are following Him!
(I received a complimentary copy of this novel. The thoughts expressed here are entirely my own.)

Keep you on your toes with suspense on what was going to hapoen next. Shelby and Max on their journey of unknown and what they were going to face on their journey. They experienced the terrifying effects of unstrained anarchy. If they have faith and fortitude necssary to reach their destination. what will the find when they get there.
Britney Adams5 Stars Out Of 5Riveting!July 18, 2017Britney AdamsQuality: 0Value: 0Meets Expectations: 0Light of Dawn is an absorbing tale! This series has riveted me from the very beginning, and I quickly became invested in the characters and their journeys. Chapman enthralls readers with a chilling and conceivable story of survival, but even amid danger and despair, faith and hope shine. Light of Dawn is a thrilling conclusion to the Remnant trilogy, and I couldn't put it down!
The Remnant Series is one I highly recommend reading in order. The prequel novella, Overshadowed, sets the stage for the catastrophic events that occur and subsequent novels continue the dramatic devastation that ensues.

The entire electrical grid has been destroyed, leaving people helpless and hopeless. Survival of the fittest can only be accomplished by resourceful and well developed plans of action.
This last book in the series is as powerful as the previous stories leading up to this compelling and complex way of life in a whole new world. Adapting to life after the flare is portrayed realistically and powerfully.
This is an unforgettable and ingenious portrayal of life after the flare that would affect all of humanity in the most paramount manner. I have found myself anticipating how I would react to the situations presented in the event that we are subjected to a horrific event such as this. The northern lights now haunt me! It could happen!

I enjoyed reconnecting with these characters again and seeing how they had continued to adapt to the new reality that they all lived in.
This story had many situations in it that required the characters to decide what the right thing to do was. I appreciated that these characters were better prepared to make these decisions as they faced danger during their travels. They had developed a necessary awareness and understanding of how they new world order worked and what their place in it was. I enjoyed seeing their strengths shine through, yet also watching as they made decisions that others might not make because it was the "right" thing to do for someone.
Light of Dawn had danger, romance, camraderie, and plenty of tension which left me anxiously turning page after page to see how everything worked out! I have enjoyed all of the books in this series.
