Dr. L.E. WagnerAge: 55-65Gender: male5 Stars Out Of 5December 9, 2009Dr. L.E. WagnerAge: 55-65Gender: maleDr. Drury writes a very helpful book for anyone who is considering whether God is calling them into full-time Christian service. He covers the full gamut of questions that people have as they consider what God wants them to do with their lives. I especially appreciated his pointing out that ministry does not exclude lay leaders in the church and that God also calls people to serve in capacities other than pastoral. I used it as a required reading for a college class and the students were all challenged regarding where God wants them.
David Starkey3 Stars Out Of 5April 25, 2008David StarkeyI found this very helpful as I explored my own call to minisrty. Its simple and very straight forward. My only complaint is I feel it could have covered verifing a calling, and family impact more. That said its an easy read and a good starting point for those exploring the possibility of a call.
Jerry2 Stars Out Of 5October 10, 2007JerryHave read other books by Mr. Drury which were outstanding. This book has some very good points.....however, there are some concepts that are not correct as stated...and contradictions exist in the material. There are some good points made, but should be read with caution....and each statement thought through from a mature standpoint. Certain things taken as written could lead a young Christian into serious error in their thinking and judgment.
