5 Stars Out Of 5
Lifepac Math, Grade 5 complete set
July 28, 2015
This is great to work with. It's non threatening to my daughter who doesn't love math all that much, but does like workbooks. Not too much distraction on the pages, but there are occasional pictures to make it nice. There are lines to write on, but not too many to scare her. Pretty all around good for her.
I wanted a math book that had all of the instruction on the pages in the workbook, and no extra surprise stuff that I would have to prepare and teach from the teacher's manual. The teacher's manual is included, and it is nice and thin. Pretty much just the answer keys.
I also like that I can reorder the workbooks on their own, and even separately, without having to buy the teacher's manual again. This is a well thought out program as far as the publishing goes. Minimum waste.
As far as the content, it looks good. We were coming from another great program, for kids who are slower in math. It taught all adding the first year, all subtracting the second, and so on. The only trouble we had was that if you move through it as slowly as we did, the child will still only know how to add by grade 5, and never know fractions, division or multiplication even exist. This program has a little of everything.
