The MomBastop, TXAge: 45-54Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5The nuts and bolts on raising wise childrenMarch 12, 2011The MomBastop, TXAge: 45-54Gender: femaleQuality: 4Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5This book is a blessing for any parent who needs the nuts and bolts on how to raise wise children. The information is Biblical, concise and useful. I needed the reminders and instantly put the new common sense suggestions to use with my oldest child. Mrs. Field presented precise information on basic skills and how to successfully encourage your child in accomplishing those skills. It was as if she had been listening in on the prayers for my children. There is so much wisdom in the pages of this book! As a homeschooling mom I want my children to accomplish much more than academics - I want them to Biblically succeed in this life. This book is an answer to my prayers!
Charlene Hendon4 Stars Out Of 5July 29, 2009Charlene HendonThis book was so insightful. Already I have underlined numerous ideas! I feel we can utilize this ideas and insights to better equip our children for their life. Our 12 year old son and 10 year old daughter have already learned many aspects of taking care of our home and yard, decision making skills and money management. Yet I found so much more in this book we will want to teach them. We believe the opportunity to help them develop more skills will be essential for helping them live as successful adults in the future.
LINDY GREAVESSouth AfricaAge: 35-44Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5November 24, 2008LINDY GREAVESSouth AfricaAge: 35-44Gender: femaleThis book has really opened my mind to how much of ordinary life is also part of the homeschool curriculum. It has helped me to incorporate the children into the daily tasks about the home, realising that I am training them for life away from home one day. I have thought more about the skills they need to learn and taught them by my side, and it has been enjoyable. The ideas in this book are fun and easy to do. The resources section is jam packed with helpful sites etc.
Sally Kettering5 Stars Out Of 5May 8, 2008Sally KetteringI checked this book out at the library at the recommendation of the Boy Scout magazine. I was only half way through and realized that I wanted to highlight a bunch of information. So, I ordered it from CBD. I am so happy I did. It is a book I will refer to again and again. It helped me realize my boys are quite capable of doing more than I and they realized. The change has been amazing. I highly recommend this book; but get your own, you may want to highlight.
