This is a terrible DVD. The humor is on an adult level, with strings of one-liners that a child can't possibly understand. But the plot of the story is hidden in the one-liners, so the storyline is impossible for a child to follow. The "alligator hunter" is obviously portraying the late Steve Irwin "The Crocodile Hunter" and, as such, is very disrespectful of his memory, as the hunter as doing whatever it takes to get good TV ratings, including kidnapping an alligator who obviously is tame because he can't seem to locate anymore wild ones for his show. The songs are horrible - including the fact that they have repetitive cutsie phrases that I would NEVER want my child repeating. For example, in the story about the turtle having "selective hearing" when it comes to listening to and obeying his mother, he sings over and over to his mother "I can't hear you" while she is trying to get him to obey various orders to clean up his room, etc. That is the only song phrase that stuck with me in the entire DVD, and I know any child will come away singing with hands over ears "I can't hear you." How awful! At the very end, they throw in some scripture, as if to "validate" their storyline and somehow make the whole thing Christian. It's not. The story lines are poorly contrived; the songs are terrible. Don't purchase this if you care anything about your children growing up with sound biblical teachings. This is the only DVD of this series I have viewed, but I will not purchase any others made by this group. I can't believe that this has some sort of ties to the Gaithers. That's the only reason I chanced purchasing it without any other reviews. I am very sorry I bought it at all.
