Author/Artist Review

Tell us a little about yourself.  I am now 81 years of age and had never written a book in all my years but the Lord laid the material for this book on my heart, first as a series of lessons for a Seniors' Bible Study and then on to the process of publishing the same material.

What was your motivation behind this project?  As many others, including pastors, have observed, there has been little instruction from the pulpits as to the ministry of the Holy Spirit as to His role in salvation and then the gifting and empowering of new believers. I had found myself in a position of no power to live the Christian life and God revealed His presence within me and it was also revealed that many more believers could be in the same position so He gave me the material in the book to share with those who were struggling as I had

What do you hope folks will gain from this project?  Based on my comments above, the book was written with the prayer that those who were struggling with the Christian walk would be enlightened as to the power and resources available to them and that they, too, would begin a new and empowered walk with the Lord through the presence of the Holy Spirit in their lives.

How were you personally impacted by working on this project?  While I may be shown as the author of this book, it was truly through the Lord;s "authoring" that the material ever saw the light of day and I was so truly blessed to be chosen of Him to share His thoughts

Who are your influences, sources of inspiration or favorite authors / artists?  My first influence in this particular field of doctrine was A.W. Tozer and the most current influence is Dr. Charles Price of the Peoples' Church in Toronto, ON

Anything else you'd like readers / listeners to know:  Each of the chapters in the book begins with a prayer and I pray that the reader will take the time to read that prayer as it seeks to set the reader;s heart in a mode of looking to the Holy Spirit for guidance and not just for the reader's expanded knowledge about the material covered
