I had previously read books 1 and 2 in this series which I mostly enjoyed.
The mystery and murders are to do with property that is co-owned by several of the religious entities around town on which they have a camp located that is used for youth gatherings, retreats, etc. We still have Cindy and Jeremiah as the two main characters along with others from the previous books, Mark, Geanie, Marie, etc. Overall, I thought that the mystery part was not as strong in this book as the previous two. As the previous two books were written with Cindy being the main focus in the story, this time around Jeremiah is. Not that that is a bad thing because it was good to spend a little more time with him. I liked the time that he spent with the youth group and how he dealt with them. Gave me a few chuckles along the way. The author though is still not really giving you a lot of insight as to who Jeremiah really is but keeps hinting as to his mysterious past which I am starting to get a little tired of. Hopefully in the next book in the series, we will find out what is in his past, if not all of it, at least enough to satisfy for the time being.
One of the things that I do like about these books is the different bits of information that is given as to Jewish traditions and background as I'm not that familiar with them.
You actually find out who the killer is a good bit before the end of the book but it doesn't make you want to quit reading there. The last page (which is only a few paragraphs) leaves you hanging and I really didn't understand how they got the conclusion that they did. Don't want to spoil anything so that's all I'm saying. It made me think that I must have missed something in the book or forgotten something from the previous two.
Over all though, it was a good read and I will be on the lookout for the next in the series.

KLouie16Cedar Hill, TxAge: 45-54Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5Book did not disappointMarch 6, 2011KLouie16Cedar Hill, TxAge: 45-54Gender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5This book was wonderful. Of course Cindy as usual gets into more trouble than she knows what to do with. What I really liked about this book is that we got to see into more Jeremiah's background, but still left a lot of mystery behind the man. What I didn't like about the book is the ending because it's a cliffhanger. Can't wait for the next book.
