PJ comes to life in Licensed for Trouble through her small-town humor and authentic uncertainty. The relationship between PJ and her boss, Jeremy, grows and becomes more complicated as she tries to decide between him and her high school sweetheart, Boone. The intense action and well-written plot are what make this novel more than just a book: it becomes a real adventure.

Quirky and far from perfect, PJ is a character whom readers will identify with. Her problems are not solved instantaneously, and every so often she has to pay for her stubbornness. Even so, she exhibit’s a strength and willingness to fight for justice that the reader cannot help but admire. The other characters have their faults but support PJ and take on unique roles of their own.

As an avid reader, I was delighted to find that this book was creatively written and full of wit. I had not read the previous two books in the series but found out that I could still follow the story and could develop a love for the characters.
