Publisher's Description

Are you tired of trying so hard?

Trying to live the transformed life you're called to? Trying to access God's power in order for change to happen?

Instead of trying, let go. Let go of the limitations of "religion," a place of trying harder, where you never measure up. Step into God's grace. You'll be empowered supernaturally beyond your experience.

What's holding you back?

Ministry leader Dr. Sandie Freed helps you to identify and let go of
· pressure to achieve results
· pride
· reliance on yourself
· efforts to please God on your own
· defeated attitudes
· squelched passions
· a hardened heart
· disappointments
· fear of intimacy with God

In each chapter, Sandie walks with you through a Scripture story illustrating a limitation. She shares her own experiences, directs you in a reflective activity and affirms you with biblical truth. This is your field guide to letting go and finding the place of God's promised rest, where His supernatural power will be released in your life.

"God is in the restoration business. His desire is to restore us, heal up the brokenhearted and demonstrate Kingdom power as never before."--Dr. Sandie Freed

Very well written, inspirational and practical. I loved the emphasis on grace and faith. This book also exhorts the reader to see themselves as God sees them. Our new identity is who we are in Christ. Changing the image of who we were in Adam into who we are now in Christ will bring about a radical transformation. Wonderful book!

"Letting Go Of Your Limitations" is a life-changing guide. It takes believers on a journey of awareness that there are roadblocks in our lives that can hinder us from receiving the transforming power of God and ensuring we reach our full potential in Him. Too often Sandie Freed, a pastor and well-known author and speaker points out that doubt, unbelief and our confidence in our own intellect and abilities can diminish God's power from flowing through us.

Using Biblical truth from passages in God's Word, examples from the lives of Bible figures and her own life experiences Sandie Freed shows the believer how to let go of fallacies like the idea that religious works or strict adherence to traditions will make the believer holy and righteous. Step by step the author guides the believer into understanding that by moving into God's grace, with the firm knowledge we're forgiven of sin, we'll change our way of thinking and walk in a close relationship with Him. Through His transforming power, and ridding ourselves of our limitations we can embrace all that he has had in store for our lives, all He had planned for us before were even born. And what wonders, miracles, and joy we'll experience!

Reading this book was an inspirational awakening for me. It has opened my eyes to a lot of preconceived ideas that my faith has suffered from, and I pray I can begin to let go of my limitations and bask in the power of the Almighty. I highly encourage other Christians to take a step of faith and read it

This book is good read and it will help the reader to unlock their inner strength and power by showing them how to harness the greatness of God. We are children of the King! So many people want a better life but are held back by fear and regret and shame and guilt. We must let go and let God come to our rescue! Each chapter looks at how we stop short of the glory that God intends for us and talks about how we can over come an obstacle and move forward towards god and the good things that God has planned for us. the only thing between us and a good life is the enemy and we can stop the fear and stop the legalism and stop focusing on religion and start focusing on God. Many people see side tracked by fear and worry and we forget that God wants a personal relationship with us and we let ourselves get in the way because we listen to the whispers of the enemy and we close our hearts to God.

This book from Chosen publishers, which I received free for writing a review, will set the reader free to seek the will of god and live outside of the enemy and close to God. Sometimes we all lose our focus and this book will help people to pull their focus back on God. We cannot be transformed until we let go and let god.

This book speaks from the beginning to end. Battles with the enemy seem endless. The author discusses some of the lies used by the enemy. Fear is one of those lies and if we are in agreement with him, we are giving him power. However, Sandie Freed provides the perfect strategy- activating our faith, trusting what God says instead. Activating faith that we already have and believing in our hearts that God desires the best for us. Our hearts must be changed before transformation can begin. Confidence in our own abilities separates us from God. God is the source that empowers us. Disobedience limits what we can accomplish and prevents us from doing the will of God. This book was really an eye-opener. There's so much more, however reading this book you begin to focus on how much better life could be if we utilized the power God has given us. Thanks Sandie Freed for writing an awesome book and thanks Chosen books for allowing me to review this book free of charge.

Traditions, religion, legalism, and Satan have the potential to limit the transforming power of God. Dr. Sandie Freed urges her readers to let go of their limitations and rest in the grace of God. In other words, complete surrender.

    She writes:

"Religion needs to die. Let's not look any longer for rules we must try our best to keep. Rather, let us seek relationship. Our relationship with God is not fear-based; it is all faith-based-and without faith it is impossible to please Him. God has an abundant life planned for you!"

Freed has a conversation with the reader as she reminds the reader what she told the reader in the previous chapter and tells of future topics. I found myself skipping over the repetition and conversation-like sentences

Frequently, the author mentions a subject, writes a few sentences, and gives the title of her book where the reader can learn more.

Freed asks the reader to reflect upon her thoughts, her limitations, or her relationship with God and then write through the subject or write a prayer to God.

I can see this book being used as a women's small group study. It is Scripturally based.

I received a complimentary copy of this book from Chosen, a division of Baker Publishing Group, in exchange for my honest review.
