If God had it His way, what would our churches look like?
In his most powerful book yet, Pastor Francis Chan digs deep into biblical truths, reflections on his own failures and dreams, and stories of ordinary people God is using to change the world.
As Chan says, "Weve strayed so far from what God calls Church. We all know it. We know that what were experiencing is radically different from the Church in Scripture. For decades, church leaders like myself have lost sight of the inherent mystery of the Church. We have trained people sitting in the pews to become addicted to lesser things. Its time for that to change."
When Jesus returns, will He find us caring for His Brideeven more than for our own lives? Letters to the Church reminds us of how powerful, how glorious the Church once was … and calls us to once again be the Church God intended us to be.
Francis has been used powerfully by God to author books Crazy Love, Forgotten God, Erasing Hell, Multiply, and You and Me Forever. Gods blessing on these books have spread millions of copies around the world in many different languages.
Franciss love for teaching the Word compelled him to found Cornerstone Church in Simi Valley, California, where he pastored for 16 years. He helped found Radius International, which equips cross-cultural church planters with skills necessary to plant healthy, viable and reproducing churches. He recently started Project Bayview, discipleship homes for men and women who are coming out of addiction or incarceration.
Currently, Francis is a pastor of We Are Church and is planting churches in Northern California, where he lives with his wife of 25 years, Lisa. They have seven children and one beautiful granddaughter.
