What was your motivation behind this project? For years, I struggled to connect with God in the ways I saw others doing. I tried various types of books, devotionals, and approaches, but I eventually learned that nothing draws me closer to the Lord than using the creativity He has given me. When I discovered hand lettering and Bible Journaling, it changed my devotional time completely. Using art to letter and illustrate Bible verses makes the text come alive for me, and I realized that I can't be the only one who is wired to connect with God through creativity. After all, we are made in His image and He is the ultimate Creator! My motivation for writing this book was to make Bible Journaling accessible for believers of all ages and levels of artistic ability in the hopes that you will find it helpful for drawing you closer to the Lord.
What do you hope folks will gain from this project? I hope and pray that each person who reads this book will be able to use art to connect with God. In the book, readers will learn how to create 40 different lettered designs, each based on a different Scripture passage, but I hope that's just the beginning. My prayer is that the skills the book teaches will equip and inspire a lifetime of Bible Journaling and creative expression of what the Bible has to say.
How were you personally impacted by working on this project? Working on this book gave me a renewed passion for God's word, and I thoroughly enjoyed coming up with each of the Scripture designs. It was a huge blessing for me to create, and I hope it is a blessing to every person who reads it.
