As a mother of 3 teen girls and an avid reader, I am always on the lookout for books that will keep my girls attention as well as provide them with sound advice. I was not sure what I would find when I received Natasha's book, but I have to say I was pleasantly surprised.

When I began reading Let's Be Real, what I immediately noticed was that she began the chapter with scripture. I was drawn in. Her book is easy to read and written candidly in a conversational voice. She is like a friend that has asked you to go out for coffee and wants to share what God's has taught her. The conversational style reminded me of what you would find in a blog post or magazine article with boxes that included: hypothetical situation and solutions; tips; make-up recommendations; healthy eating and exercise tips; and even clothing must haves.

Her book is filled with advice on friendships, boys and relationships, family, health, beauty and most importantly faith in God. I have to admit that I did not agree with all her counsel, particularly about dating - although I liked her List: TOP 10 REASONS IT RULES TO BE SINGLE... Again and again, Natasha shared personal stories of involving her parents and the solid counsel they gave her and continue to give her. In one her personal stories in the dating section, she shared how she pursued a relationship with someone that her parents did not want her to. In the end- she realized that she should have listened to the counsel of her parents. Being a mother myself, I loved her willingness to share the strong bond she had with her parents and her brother and especially with the Lord.

I enjoyed Let's Be Real and even shared with my daughters. The "Faith in Real" chapter is a powerful testimony of Natasha's faith and was a wonderful encouragement to the reader to seek Jesus, stay in God's word and the importance of accountability. I would recommend this book!

"Let's Be Real" by Natasha Bure, social media star and The Voice contestant, has written a book to help teens with their self esteem and goal setting in their lives. Now, I am no teen, but I do have two daughters: 12 and 21; and a 19 year old son, so I live in the world of teens every day. Bure gives advice in every aspect including how to post on social media and how to deal with the backlash of what you post. She writes tips on goal setting, on confidence, and at the other end of the spectrum, make up tips and clothing choices. The whole while she wears her Christian faith with confidence, drawing from it to share her advice honestly.

Though she is incredibly young to be handing out life advice, she is also mature and perfect for the eyes and ears of the upcoming generation. Her writing is arranged in a format that keeps the younger reader's attention. There is a running dialogue as well as boxes of short information; a sort of magazine style. My 12 year old has started to read this book and has taken an interest. I recommend it to anyone (probably a girl) who has started the trek of finding herself. I received this book in exchange for an honest review from www.booklookbloggers.com.

I found this book really helpful in my teen years. It helped me get through and understand such things as boys and how to deal with annoying siblings. It also taught me things as simple as healthy eating and good skincare. The thing that I liked most about this book though was that it related a lot back to the bible, and so I understood that these things were actually so true, and that I wasn't alone in all my struggle. Thanx a bunch Natasha in making me feel so much better about myself.

Let's Be Real by Natasha Bure is a fun read on being authentic in all aspects of life for teen girls. She talks about friendships, faith, family, health, friendships, beauty and being true to who you are. Natasha down-to-earth voice resonates throughout her book and you truly feel like she is talking to a girlfriend or a younger sister. Natasha gives some great advice and shares some fun stories of her experience growing up and finding herself.

Of course,as an adult, I had a different perspective reading this, but regardless, I found that Natasha gave some great advice. I love how she inserted a few nuggets of truth and faith throughout the different chapters in her book. Because she is young still, Natasha didn't delve super deep into some issues I would have expected from a "seasoned" adult, but rather, she takes that "big sister" approach.

Overall,Let's Be Realwas a quick fun read and I would definitely recommend it to any teenage girl out there.

Let's Be Real by Natasha Bure reads a lot like the book of Proverbs. It contains lots of sincere advice, not necessarily in logical order, from the heart and experience of its author to encourage readers just younger than herself. In the first chapter in which Natasha wants to teach her readers to discover who they really are so that they can be real, she talks about subjects such as overcoming fear, obeying parents, not being a drama queen, choosing your clothing style, and researching your family tree. (Advice on overcoming fear and researching your family tree are placed in boxes for quick reference should the reader want to look more closely at these at a later time.)

In the following chapters, Natasha goes on the discuss friendship, convictions, dating, family, health, beauty, faith, and being true to yourself, validating her advice with examples from her own life. Girls who read this book will absorb Natasha's insights into all aspects of living healthy and well.

Zondervan sent me a complimentary copy of this book so I share my thoughts about it with you. Now I am passing it on to my girls. I think they'll like her style.
