We LOVE our Baby Believer books! Board books are a must-have in our house (with lots of drooling and chewing and sticky hands!), but finding a board book that can outlast the cartoon-pictures, sing-song rhymes, and childish (but also fun!) content are few and far between.

The author and illustrator of this series has taken extreme care over the details. The pictures are elegant, bold and colorful, and extremely intricate. But they are also still relatable to our youngest learners! Kiddos can read these books at different stages in development and focus on/learn different things. First, they will most likely be engaged by the gorgeous illustrations. As they start to acquire language, they may learn the big, bold words first, contrasting things like "light and dark," "above and below," etc. before identifying how these are opposites. But these books go beyond that and offer scripture that correlates to these opposites, showing how God was intentional in creating all things. Having the exact scripture is great as a parent to be able to teach the Bible in a way that is relatable to their young minds, but without "watering it down", so to speak.

You will not be disappointed with this book, or any in the series really! We have 3 of the Baby Believer books, and can't wait to add more to our collection!

Our family truly loves Danielle's new book Let There Be Light! Reading is a one of my favorite things to do with my daughter and I love that when we read this book together it is getting her familiar with Scripture and hiding God's Word in her heart from a young age, while teaching her about creation and opposites. This is a great resource to have as a parent to bring about conversations about the gospel with your kids from a young age. We have another baby on the way and I know we will enjoy reading these together even from the newborn age.

I love that the books are board books (very quality) and a perfect size for young children. The artwork is simply stunning! The color palate is beautiful. Even I am memorizing Scripture more from reading with her.

These make the perfect gift for birthdays, Christmas or baby showers.

I received Let There Be Light in exchange for an honest review, all opinions are my own.

I received a copy of this book in return for my honest review. I have read many, many books to my children, and the illustrations in this book are second to none. It is so beautiful and enjoyable to me as well as my kids. My 1 year old will repeat the opposite words with me (like "quiet" and "loud" on the first page) with gusto and point to the appropriate page with the words. My 4 year old can appreciate the slightly longer (yet still concise enough for preschoolers) scripture portions on each page. I love that this book takes my kids chronologically through the story of creation. I would absolutely recommend this book to my friends with young children.

This book is one of my children's new favorites! I have 6 children and from my 10 month old to my 10 year old, everyone was delighted with "Let There Be Light." The illustrations are bright, bold and beautifully done. I love that this book teaches the basic concept of opposites with truths from the Bible. It helps children to learn that God made the world and every part of it is His design. Each day of creation is displayed by lovely artwork and the concept of an opposite. I love that these things are woven together into a simple and beautiful little book. Plus, we are all learning scriptures together and these are not the typical watered-down passages you see in children's books, but rich and meaningful ones that we would all benefit to memorize! The pages are sturdy and the size is perfect for small hands. I highly recommend this for your own children, grandchildren, or as a baby shower gift!

Both my kids and I are in love with this book. My toddlers were not up for sitting through the longer scriptures every time we read, but I stuck to the large words and talking about the pictures and then paraphrased the verses if they were up for that. My preschooler loves to hear the whole verses and has started to memorize several of them which is absolutely priceless to me. That is one of my favorite things about the book, it's truly great for every age! The artwork is absolutely beautiful (I plan to order some prints from the website for our wall!) and I hope that they continue to make more of these.
