Tell us a little about yourself. I am a first time author who has been teaching students in church for at least 25 years. I have worked with all ages from birth to high school in a church setting. I am currently a school counselor at a middle school and previously taught kindergarten for several years. I am married with two children.
What was your motivation behind this project? This book was written out of a need at our church. Our Wednesday night Bible club was struggling with reaching our students. The students needed to get back to the basics of the bible and I wrote the lessons with this as my goal. This book provides a foundation for the lesson and leaders can add their own activities to enhance each lesson. Each lesson has a bible verse to memorize to help students connect the bible with daily living.
What do you hope folks will gain from this project? I would hope that this could be a resource for churches to use or supplement with a current curriculum and build student knowledge. I hope as leaders share the lessons that students understand that Jesus is in every book and learning His word is power that can change their lives.
