Victoria1 Stars Out Of 5not enough practice or explanation of new conceptsSeptember 21, 2020VictoriaQuality: 1Value: 1Meets Expectations: 1for the cost of this book, i wanted to like it more. it seemed nice when i flipped through it, but ultimately there is not enough practice or explanation of new concepts. i find this curriculum to be rather weak compared to other math curriculums. i did it with my daughter, and im fully expecting for her to struggle a bit when we start the next grade. also, and this might be more of a personal pet peeve, the stories about the little kids at the beginning of the chapters go right over my second graders head. its like they were written by someone who has never talked to a second grader before and doesnt know a second graders vocabulary.

Lil Mama5 Stars Out Of 5Amazing Math CurriculumNovember 22, 2018Lil MamaQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5My daughter loves math because of Math Lessons for a Living Education. It is engaging, comprehensive and affordable. We both enjoy math time together now. I find it has just enough practice problems for my daughter without overwhelming her. She loves Place Value Village- probably because we use Shopkins for it. :) I highly recommend this curriculum.

Christina5 Stars Out Of 5EngagingMarch 7, 2018ChristinaQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5We found this math to be engaging and relatable. It's structure allows you to adjust it to your child's needs and focuses on the child understanding and narrating the process.

Homeschooler by default2 Stars Out Of 5Not a good fitJanuary 23, 2018Homeschooler by defaultQuality: 4Value: 5Meets Expectations: 2I was really excited to try this curriculum, but was not thrilled. It moved VERY slowly for us and was just not a good fit for my child or for my needs as a teacher. There seemed to be a lot of "fluff" and not many practice problems. It also seemed to have a lot of focus on writing numbers and not as much focus on calculations or math skills. At least the curriculum was not expensive. We stuck it out through several lessons, but ended up giving up. I know every child is different, so it might work for some families.
