A different approach to math then what we have previously used, looks a little on the easy side, but i'm told its a gentle but mastery math! I am very excited to see the growth of a love for numbers!

I expected the exercises to tie into the story but didn't see that happen all the time. There is not much interactive, engaging illustrations...which is important for my son. This might be a good fit for someone that loves storytelling but not for us as we do enough of that for our reading/phonics curriculum. We'll stick with Horizons, Mathematical Reasoning and maybe The Good/The Beautiful new math program.

We've been working through this book for a few weeks and are really enjoying it. The early lessons were review for us, but it's good to have some material we already know to boost confidence and to take a break from lessons that present new concepts by doing a little review work.

highly recommend this book to everyone. love how it's simple to use and its repetitive. Both our boys love it and never complain about doing math. The stories are a nice addition to it as well!

I was given the Level 1 book by a friend who found it too easy for her advanced Kindergartener. I began using it with my 4 year old and feel like it was a pretty good level for her at the beginning. But, now we are about half way through and are finding it a bit tedious. I am probably going to order Horizons Math K to finish out the school year. I would not say however that I regret using this. I thought it was a great start for her.
