The Learning Language Arts through Literature program is a complete language arts program for Grades 1-12. Using an integrated approach to teaching, students learn communication skills in the context of quality literature that makes not only makes reading more attractive, but creates a deeper understanding of grammar, writing mechanics, vocabulary, spelling, and other language skills.
The Yellow Book is designed for students in 3rd grade. Students will enjoy reading the chosen literature books (not-included) as they study a broad spectrum of language arts skills. This Teacher's Book provides parents with easy-to-use lessons that require little to no preparation. Lessons are divided by days, with step-by-step instructions that include scripted questions and directions. Teacher Notes and answers are right in the margins.

Alice's Adventures in Wonderland ,
The Tale of Jeremy Vole, various poetry selections, and much more. This course covers reading, spelling (with suggested lists included), grammar, higher order thinking skills, creative writing, and cursive handwriting in an easy-to-use format. Four Literature Links encourage students in vocabulary building, reading for content, and comprehension. Review activities and assessments are also integrated throughout.
The updated third edition of the Yellow Level features ten new lessons plus journaling activities. Please note that the 3rd and 2nd editions of the LLATL Yellow level are NOT compatible with each other.
