The Positive Action Bible curriculum helps children learn about the God of the Word, not just about the Word of God. Teaching children to seek the majesty and grace of God in everything, this curriculum aims to show how God reveals himself through a message that shines through context, culture, and language. In Learning About God, kindergarteners will learn about God through Old and New Testament stories that highlight doctrine, biblical principles, and character traits. This Teacher’s Manual contains all the teaching material, as well as Bible stories, activities, and student manual facsimiles with answers overlaid. Teacher materials provide schedules for a 3, 4, and 5-day pace.
Each easy-to-use weekly lesson has the scripture memory verse, hymn name, and chorus name at the top for the optional scripture memory and music element. There are also definitions for unfamiliar or new vocabulary terms, "Target Truths" objectives, the Bible story with discussion questions, and the teaching strategy. Character Trait activities along an application story with reflection question, designed for retention and reinforcement of the lesson, are also included. Copies of the student manual worksheets with answers overlaid are also provided.
The weekly optional scripture memory program is part of a three-year cycle that encourages children to memorize crucial passages at least twice in their elementary years; a memorization report sheet form is included.
