For those who have tried and failed to follow through on a plan to study the entire Bible, Chuck Missler has the answer. Learn the Bible in 24 Hours is an ideal study aid to help you grasp the big picture of Scripture. Each chapter is designed for study in an hour or less.
- Sound, fresh teaching on Scripture
- Historical and cultural insight into biblical passages
- Sidebars that highlight the primary concepts of the chapter
bcars105 Stars Out Of 5Chock fullOctober 2, 2016bcars10Quality: 5Value: 4Meets Expectations: 5This book is basically Dr. Missler's teachings on his Learn the Bible in 24 Hours DVD set. Each chapter is a different "hour." It pretty much coincides with the material on the DVD's, with a few variations. Overall, it is a worthwhile purchase as a reference with the DVD's or would be good alone. It does not contain any discussion questions.
One note: The Learn the Bible Handbook consists of all the visual slides in Dr. Missler's DVD series. The Learn the Bible Workbook only includes SOME of the slides, but there are lines to add your notes. The Workbook also includes questions and group discussion questions.
I have purchased all three books with the DVD set, and I feel they were a good investment. The least worthwhile, in my opinion is the workbook, but if you prefer not to come up with your own discussion questions, then you'll want a copy of that if you're doing a home study. The Handbook is the best because it has all of the slide information and also enough room to make notes. I don't know why they couldn't have added 40 more pages to the Handbook with the discussion questions. I don't like being nickeled-and-dimed for every little item!

While I don't always draw the same conclusions as the author, it certainly gets me thinking and strengthens my relationship with God, when I read the bible.
