This book and Ken Taylor's Devotions for the Children's Hour are the best two books out there for teaching Biblical truths. While the books take the reader through Bible stories, they are not Bible story books, but doctrine books. This book has pictures, a song, and a prayer, as well as the Bible Story. I have purchased one for many people and recommend it without reservation.

I wanted a good and thorough Bible Study book that I can do with my smaller ones. WOW! This is it!! It's thorough and gives great explanations so that little ones can understand more. It gives a bible verse(s) to read, a hymn to go with the lesson, a prayer, and the bible lesson, itself, are truly amazing! I'm very happy with my purchase. My older ones read it by themselves, (with out me assigning/asking), it's interesting and keeps kids interested. I also read it for me, (yes, it's simple), however, I like it too. It's a great value for the money as well. I'm even so inclined as to purchase one as a gift for another family. Love that it asks questions too, to engage children.

I read this book to my daughter when she was little and then my niece when she spent the night. Not an ordinary Bible story book, these short devotionals go deep, yet apply the truth in a way a child can understand. I recently bought a copy for a disabled elderly woman who had accepted Jesus but had no foundation and no way to go to church. Highly recommend!

This is a great devotion!!! We do it as a family; we have four girls raging from age 2-7. this is the perfect length and the topics are straight simple and biblical. It has been easy for all of us to grasp and hold the knowledge. We love the questions at the end, and we have a laugh trying to make a melody to the song at the end. Even my youngest daughter sits and listens and even is starting to echo the prayer with the rest of the girls!!! Great great book!!
