Lauren Talley's self-titled CD is a must for any fan of Southern Gospel music. This CD has Lauren at her best - from slow, meditative songs like "Will You Marry Me"(the song isn't what one might think at first glance of the title) and "How Could I Ask for More" to the soulful "I Thank You Lord" to the traditional but with a Lauren twist in "Joy Unspeakable" to the uptempo "He Laid His Hand on Me" and the barnburning "David Did Dance" - a tune that far extends its alliterative title. Money spent on Lauren's first solo project is money well spent.
