He met them in the upper room, though waiting for Him was a tomb, and as a supernatural sign He broke the bread, then drank the wine.
I lift this cup to pledge anew, my everlasting love for you. I have a mission to fulfill, and take it up of My free will.
The next day as He knelt and prayed, He knew that He would be betrayed; and His disciples, one by one, abandoned Him, Gods only Son.
And yet, he chose to still reveal, through one last supper, one last meal, that He would love them unto death, in faithfulness, till His last breath.
