Laid out with maximum clarity, lessons are scripted, with suggested wording for the student and teacher differentiated; selected text from the workbook, answer key, and notes to the instructor are also written in specific formats throughout the book. Each lesson focuses on teaching or reviewing a specific topic, such as conjunctions, verbs, pronouns, writing letters, dictionary skills, and other grammatical topics; the four classical strands of memory work, copywork & dictation, narration, and grammar are used to teach students throughout the course. 551 pages, indexed, softcover.

KimDGender: female5 Stars Out Of 5Very simple to use and thorough!October 26, 2011KimDGender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5I am using this with my 2 boys who are in 5th and 7th grade. It is a great review for the 7th grader and plenty of new information for my 5th grader. We are working through 1 lesson a day since they are older though. The boys love the format and so do I. It is very simple to use.
Rachel LandersAllen, TXAge: 35-44Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5Great Grammar OptionSeptember 23, 2011Rachel LandersAllen, TXAge: 35-44Gender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5This book is an all-inclusive volume that covers dictation, narration, basic grammar and writing. It can't get any easier - read the script and follow directions to teach the concepts. The teacher's guide is very thorough and the student workbook is very helpful too. It is a little stark, but that is just fine for an older student. We began our homeschool grammar program using Shurley English which was good, but I like that this program requires fewer books and includes the dictation and narration exercises.
