This book is written for laypeople who might not have a deep, theological connection with Christian doctrine, yet who need to know what the Bible has to say about it. The author makes difficult theological concepts easy to understand. Very biblical, with helpful group discussion questions at the end of each chapter, and an evangelistic focus. Our theology should be practical and cause us to want to share our faith with unbelievers. I highly recommend this book for Christians wanting a fuller understanding of what it means to be saved.

Kuligin plainly, albeit briefly, outlines the many-fold wonders which encompass the work of God in salvation. As has been my own personal experience, we tend to focus on one or maybe two of the blessings which we have been granted as saints according to Scripture. Though far from exhaustive, this book certainly begins a much needed conversation about from what and to what we have been saved.

"For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named, that according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faiththat you, being rooted and grounded in love, may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God." (Eph. 3.14-19)

A worthwhile read for those who share in Paul's prayer, above.
