Language Lessons for Today from My Father's World combines the Charlotte Mason and classical approach to bring homeschoolers short, easy-to-teach lessons that cover basic language skills such as English, punctuation, composition, oral language skills, letter writing, understanding poetry, and more. Children will expand upon the language they already know and develop better communication with others.
The 102 lessons include short, interactive, and parent-led exercises, such as oral compositions, copywork, memorization, picture work, and fill-in-the-blank type exercises and is easily customizable for your child’s particular needs and learning styles. Examples of language and fine art are included: works by Louisa May Alcott, Emily Dickinson, and Carl Sandburg, and art by Van Gogh, Jean-Francois Millet, among others. Lessons take approximately 15 minutes to complete with three lessons per week. The Answer Key is available online for free.
