This program is okay, but the recording is very old and the audio isn't great. The lady speaks with a definite Southern drawl (fine for us, we're from the South, but just FYI). The biggest problem we have with it is that she goes VERY fast, which doesn't leave a lot of time to practice. Of course you can always go back over the lessons, but my daughter finds it hard to follow. Her explanations of the signs are good, and help you to remember them. I really wish they would redo this DVD to have better audio, it would make it more worth the price. We expected a better quality product.
At first my daughter laughed at the older lady teaching the sign language, but then the laughing created memories and helped her remember the different signs being taught. A nice visual for any homeschooler or anyone wanting to learn the basics of sign language.
I was thrilled when my son said he wanted to learn sign language, and I think this video is a great way to teach him. He can see the signs and learn them faster. Also, I like the way the video is broken down into sections, so he can learn at his own pace.
