EnglandAge: 35-44Gender: maleQuality: 2Value: 2Meets Expectations: 1I have two main problems with this documentary: on the one hand the language is archaic. It is done in old king james english and so is very difficult to show to young people becasue of its archaic language. On the other hand it is extremely bias against the roman catholic church. It doesnt even try to present a fair and balanced history. It says nothing about the fact that even within the roman church there were people who fought against the authority structure in rome and defended the reading of scripture. It has a very simplistic sweep of the history of medieval christianity that is very bias and very selective. This is very poor for a documentary that is trying to present credible history. It does not help the cause of the Gospel to distort or to give an unbalanced view of history.
CafeAge: 25-34Gender: male5 Stars Out Of 5An incredibly informative and facsinating movie!!!July 16, 2011CafeAge: 25-34Gender: maleQuality: 5Value: 4Meets Expectations: 5Incredible story of early Bible believers that were persecuted and burned at the stake because of their faith and because they disagreed about the idea of transubstantiation by members of the catholic church. Rome and many catholics really hated Bible believers and wanted everyone to come back to catholicism. Anyone who didn't do this was hunted down and killed. This movie showed that some of the great reformers were originally catholic priests! The Jesuits were priests from Rome who were some of the most violent people ever assembled. They were said to be catholics, but were witches and satanists who killed violently in the name of God and the pope! Some reformers considered the pope's to be anti-Christs', and this belief is still held today by some modern day reformers.
A must see by all, especially catholics that may not be aware that these events actually happened and were documented!

dsm5 Stars Out Of 5August 19, 2010dsmThis is an excellent movie about the people who sacrificed so much (even their lives) to translate the Bible into the common man's language. There was so much I didn't know about how the Roman Catholic Church tried and is still trying to keep the common man from reading the true Word of God. I am ashamed that I have taken the Bible for granted and I now want my Bible to become my most cherished possession. I am going to encourage everyone I know to watch this movie.
