It is sad indeed that there are somany true and earnest believers who think of a victorious Christian life as a "super deluxe" version instead of normality and, in the words of the author, are "so busy enduring their failure that they have no time to enjoy their faith." The mystery of how to "be" what as Christians we have been born again to "become" is now an open secret in Jesus Christ--that the secret of a changed life is an exchanged life!" --From the forward by Major W. Ian Thomas
Too many consider the victorious Christian life a ''super deluxe'' version instead of normality and are ''so busy enduring their failure that they have no time to enjoy their faith.'' The mystery of what Christians have been born again to ''become'' is in Jesus Christ - the secret of a changed life is an exchanged life.
John and I together joined the ministry of the Torchbearers and enjoyed a mutually encouraging relationship for many years. I welcome the return of his writings into print and highly recommend that you read and benefit from the ministry of a good man and a good teacher. -Stuart Briscoe, Founder of Bible-teaching ministry Telling the Truth
This is the ideal books for the young believer or for the maturing believer who has deeper questions about the Christians life. For many decades John Hunter's ministry enriched many lives on every continent through his worldwide preaching and writing. This book will encourage older believers to go deeper with God and open new possibilities of victory to those young in the faith. -Charles Price, Pastor, The Peoples Church, Toronto, Ontario
John Hunter, born in 1909 in Liverpool, taught for many years in England's public school system. He spent most of his holidays preaching teaching the Word of God, eventually connecting with Major Ian Thomas and the ministry of Torchbearers. After thirty years of teaching, John became a full-time missionary with Torchebearers, traveling to many countries as a Bible teacher. He spoke regularly at conference centers and wrote more than twenty books, the first of which was Knowing God's Secrets. Throughout his ministry John had a key phrase: "For this...I have Jesus." He retired from full-time ministry in 1994 following a stroke and died in 2005.
