Product Description

God desires to speak into our lives. He wants us to receive clear understanding of His will for our lives. This is why He uses prophets to speak to us prophetically. Yet because prophecy can be such a subjective thing, it can be hard to tell if a prophecy is really from God. Often, we are left unclear by what the prophet said, and we don't know how to interpret it for ourselves. This is why we need to know that not everything prefaced by "Thus says the Lord" is really from God. This means we need to learn how to identify genuine prophecy and what to do with it once we receive it. And this is what Pastor Wallis teaches in this book.

Author/Artist Review

Author: Scott Wallis

Tell us a little about yourself.  I am a pastor and prophet with an apostolic call who resides in a small to mid-size town - Elgin, IL. I own and operate two businesses in addition to pastoring a church. I live a somewhat modest life and apply most of my energy to doing what God has called me to do. In my spare time, I enjoy playing golf and watching movies.

What was your motivation behind this project?  My motivation behind this project was simple: I wanted to provide believers with a manual that they could use to understand if their personal prophecies were really from God and once they were able to determine this, walk those genuine prophetic words out to completion. I did this for three reasons. 1) There is little to no information available from other prophetic leaders on this subject of false, failed or fulfilled personal prophecies. 2) There is a general lack of understanding in the body of Christ regarding the value and purpose of the prophetic office in the church today. 3) Most believers do not understand their part in fulfilling prophecy and as a result spend much of their lives waiting for prophecy to happen rather than actively participating in seeing their prophecies fulfilled.

What do you hope folks will gain from this project?  There are several things individuals will receive from this book. 1) A good understanding of prophecy. 2) Knowledge in how to receive and treat genuine prophets and/or prophecy. 3) Good discernment and Biblical common sense to avoid false prophets. 4) Receiving the knowledge and wisdom contained in genuine prophetic words so that they can be completely fulfilled in their lives. This is more than worth the price paid for this book and is just a sample of what is contained in its pages.

Who are your influences, sources of inspiration or favorite authors / artists?  Over the years, I have been influenced by many individuals from various camps: Catholic, Evangelical, Charismatic, Pentecostal, Word/Faith and Prophetic/Apostolic. Bill Hamon, Cindy Jacobs and Rick Joyner are some of my favorite authors. Although, I tend to choose what I read by topic and title than author. Some of the individuals who have had the greatest impact in my life are those whom are not well known on earth. Instead they have been the solid stable leaders who have taught me in the trenches what it is like to be a true leader and believer through their mentorship. To them, I am grateful for their faithfulness. Much of what I have learned has come by observing the fruit of their individuals lives. History has also been an invaluable teacher to me as I have studied the lives of Charles Finney, John Wesley, Jonathan Edwards, Smith Wigglesworth, Kathryn Kuhlman, John Lake, Alexander Dowie and others. Finally, the person who has had the greatest impact upon my life and has taught me a great deal about what God is really like is my Mom. She has shared my many struggles with me and stood by me even when others were unwilling always loving me with the love of Christ.

Anything else you'd like readers / listeners to know:  One of the reasons why I write the books that I do is for the purpose of helping the church grow in maturity. For those who will listen and apply the things that I write in my books, your lives will dramatically change and you will truly begin bearing fruit for the Lord's glory. Be blessed!
