I own the Large print hardback and the Leather edition. Personally I recommend the large print hardback for it's ease in reading. This Companion Bible, which is a 1611 King James Bible is without a doubt the best study Bible one can have. The appendixes alone make this Bible more than worth the price of the cost of this Bible. I have purchased at least 2-3 additional other Companion Bibles as gifts for friends that, like myself, wish to study at a deeper level. I truly believe that if EVERY student of the Word of God could just read Bullinger's appendix "The Serpent in The garden" They would come away with a much more profound understanding of how to read the Bible. I can't recommend a work more highly than Bullinger's Companion Bible other than The WORD of God itself.
The Companion Bible is an invaluable tool for preparing well researched lessons. God's Word isn't a fairy tale. Using this great university-level resource gives true credibility to any discussion of the Truth of Scripture.
I have seen many study Bibles but The Companion Bible is by far the best.
I was asked if I would recommend The Companion Bible to a friend. Not only would I recommend it, I have purchased 3 of them for friends as a gift. I have the hardcover-thumb indexed, black bonded leather-thumb indexed, and the hardcover enlarged print versions. I will soon get the burgundy bonded leather-thumb index for my collection.
