Tell us a little about yourself. I'm a retired Navy Corpsman with a Bachelors degree in Health Science from George Washington University, I'm a Christian, Gideon, Sunday school teacher, and Chaplain for the American Legion. I was born in Colorado, raised in Florida, and I'm currently a resident of North Carolina with my wife and family.
What was your motivation behind this project? I was motivated to write this book, because the ideas were in my head for years. I felt I had to write it. At the time I was a back-slid Christian and wrote it in a very secular way. When I finally published, I was a re-dedicated Christian. I didn't publish until after many additional hours of work to make the book into a Christian book. I would have never published it otherwise.
What do you hope folks will gain from this project? I hope they see the contrast of the different worldviews. I hope they see the secular influences in my story and then the realization that the only worthwhile worldview is a Biblical Christian worldview.
How were you personally impacted by working on this project? It took me from my science loving background through the realization that evolution was a lie perpetuated by people that hate God - they don't just refuse to believe in Him, they hate Him. The project helped bring my current Biblical worldview into focus.
Who are your influences, sources of inspiration or favorite authors / artists? I have loved science and science fiction since I was about 8 or 10. I love all the sciences except math sciences. I loved the book Journey to the Center or the Earth and the original movie version of War of the Worlds, but even more than that, I could sit and read about science, geography and history right out of the encyclopedia. I love science.
Anything else you'd like readers / listeners to know: I've written a second book titled: Transfigured to Serve. It is a unique view of the end times prophesied in the Bible. It takes you to Heaven in stead of through the tribulation. It was fun and interesting to study about and write. It's an amazing journey.
