    I really enjoy devotionals, especially the ones that do not have the dates on posted on each one. If you miss a day, or don't want to begin on the first day of the year, you don't feel like you're missing out or reading out of sequence. I like the flavor of this devotion that has a pay it forward type of meaning in each one. With a pay-it-forward type of feel, each devotion inspires me to do something nice for others - even if it's just a simple gesture to make them smile or to lessen their worries. This is a well thought out book that is deeply motivating and effective.

    The One Year Daily Acts Of Kindness Devotional: 365 Inspiring Ideas To Reveal, Give, And Find Gods Love, written by Julie Fisk, Kendra Roehl and Kristin Demery, published by Tyndale Momentum, is a book designed to enlarge the presence of God in your daily service to His kingdom.

    The ideology behind this publication is to commit to performing an act of kindness every day for one year. The authors present an idea for each day, such as Kindness To A Kid or The Gift of Guidance, followed by a scripture reference, a real-life example, and a brief detailed description of the daily act of kindness.

    What an amazing difference we could make within this world if we took this idea and put it into practice.

    This is not a unique idea, for others have suggested similar, but its presentation is unique and powerful, thus this is a recommended purchase with the hopes that it is implemented.

    THE ONE YEAR

    DAILY ACTS OF KINDNESS DEVOTIONAL

    365 Inspiring Ideas to Reveal, Give, and Find Gods Love

    By Julie Fisk, Kendra Roehl, & Kristin Demery

    This devotional is a part of The One Year collection of Bibles and devotionals designed to help people read through the Bible in one year. This devotional written by Julie Fisk, Kendra Roehl and Kristin Demery covers the need for us all to do at least one act of kindness each day. They share a short story of a kindness done to help someone have a better day. The stories are written individually by the three women, adding their separate views and are encouraging and inspiring. They will add to your day and encourage you to do likewise by showing a little extra help to someone. The writing is easy to read and understand, along with the short story they give a scripture verse to think about that day and a suggested act of kindness for the day.

    As with all the One Year books, the devotions are dated so you can start at any time and reach your goal of completing your reading in a year. The book would make a great gift for anyone. I think you will enjoy this book.

    The world needs to see the kind of love that is possible with daily acts of kindness.

    A couple acts of kindness from the book;

    Do you need to apologize to someone? Dont let the sun set without reaching out with an apology.

    Offer encouragement or support to a stranger who is going through a challenging circumstance.

    The One Year Daily Acts of Kindness Devotional: 365 Inspiring Ideas to Reveal, Give, and Find Gods Love by Julie Fisk, Kendra Roehl, and Kristin Demery, is an amazing book. It encourages readers to be more intentional in their attitudes and acts of kindness.

    The authors began writing this devotional with a month-long daily act of kindness commitment, but ended up writing a year-long devotional, changing not only their own lives but also that of their families. Each devotion includes a scripture reference, a short inspirational personal story about Gods call for kindness and generosity, and a suggested act of kindness. The devotions are designed for busy people and can be started at any time of the year. They are designed to help the reader form positive habits that connect with things that are important to God.

    This is a wonderful devotional. I especially liked the suggested acts of kindness for each day. Some ideas were repeated later in the year, but they were easy to implement, such as writing an encouraging note to someone online or visiting someone homebound or in the nursing home.

    I would recommend this book to anyone who wishes to show more kindness to the world.

    Kara
