My daughter is 7. She has thoroughly enjoyed having a book about God that she can read and understand. We both have read it together, which has been an amazing experience. I even went back and bought more of these for her friends at church.

These are part of a gift for 15 undetrpriveleged children along with a Bible and other items which will be donated at our church The Rock Church San Marcos' Toys for Joy". I love Dr Tony Evans preaching & these are perfect gifts for getting to know Jesus more.

I bought this for a 6-year-old to go along with the toy armor sold on this site. It's far too wordy for anyone younger than middle school and too preachy for teens. But what disturbs me the most is the recurring focus on Satan. Satan is only a word meaning "accuser" or "slanderer," and it's only mentioned once in the passage, in verse 11, as "devil." Christians do need to be prepared to defend the faith and stand against evil, but we can teach that without ascribing more power to the satan than he has.

I love how Tony Evans explains the spiritual battle and how we can use the different "pieces" in various situations. There are lots of great applications for kids. I gave this to parents to read at home with their children while we study the armor of God in Sunday school. It could probably be adapted to use for a class. His examples and explanations are clear, understandable and practical for upper elementary and middle school aged kids.
