Tell us a little about yourself.  I obtained my teaching certificate and masters in secondary training and development from Texas A & M University. After teaching several years in public schools; I became the business education coordinator for Calvary Christian Academy in Fort Worth, Texas. My basis for teaching was my experience as a customer service representative, secretary, and administrative assistant for major corporations for over ten years. I was listed in the Who’s Who of American Teachers, TCEA member, sponsored Business Professionals of America, Key Club, Calvary Academy Community Service Club and Kiwanis. I am married to my best friend, Curtis, for almost 20 years and we have two wonderful girls.

What was your motivation behind this project?  I noticed a need for Christian material for the computer courses since the only ones were from a secular viewpoint. Through a diligent search; there was no suitable curriculum which demonstrated proper touch-typing methods, offered MLA and APA report formatting, and had Biblical-based references and material for students to copy. Thus, Christian Keyboarding was formed combining the elements needed to satisfy state education requirements and Biblical references for the private school requirements.

What do you hope folks will gain from this project?  I would love to see students in grades K-12 grow spiritually and increase their scripture memory. Also, if students really read the section on becoming a Christian and make a decision for Jesus; that would make this work all worth it!

How were you personally impacted by working on this project?  This has dramatically imparted Biblical wisdom to me as I discovered Bible verses that were relevant to students and even some of the stories of martyrs that were quite inspirational.

Who are your influences, sources of inspiration or favorite authors / artists?  My influence is foremost the Holy Spirit who leads me to write about something students would be interested in. My family and church usually mention something that gets me thinking about how to make that into a lesson. Favorite authors would be Charles Swindoll and C. S. Lewis.

Anything else you'd like readers / listeners to know:  I offer printable products on my website christiankeyboarding.com; including ebooks for students in elementary school and teaching resources.
