Doris5 Stars Out Of 5Great resourceOctober 10, 2019DorisThis review was written for Keep It Shut: What to Say, How to Say It, and When to Say Nothing at All.It is very important how we use our words. This book is a great resource in using our words to Honor God. I love the many scripture verses Karen uses in her book. Very well written & extremely helpful for those who want to learn how to control their tongue.

bonnieo1 Stars Out Of 5False humility?July 4, 2019bonnieoThis review was written for Keep It Shut: What to Say, How to Say It, and When to Say Nothing at All.I don't understand why so many women authors seem to have to personalize the topics of the chapters of their book in such a way that almost always it ends up reflecting false humility. I have read so many books that give examples to illustrate their thoughts that are so much more effective because they are based on real historical heroes.
Keep it Shut was filled with pages about 'Oh I goofed and said this' and then somehow gets to a point where the goof is replaced with how great she was after that.
So many better authors out there. Ladies, we don't need all of this female humor. God makes us so strong in his image. You all can figure this out -
Ephesians 4:29 (NIV) Don't let any evil talk come out of your mouths. Say only what will help to build others up and meet their needs. Then what you say will help those who listen.
So many better texts out there, don't waste your time on this one. -

Anna5 Stars Out Of 5Keep it ShutMarch 4, 2019AnnaThis review was written for Keep It Shut: What to Say, How to Say It, and When to Say Nothing at All.I have to say that in this season of the world, this book cover seems very offensive. I understand that it is about wisdom, and respect in knowing when to speak, but with so many stories that come out all the time (as well as my own person experience) of being hushed up and disrespected because we are women, putting a picture of a woman's mouth being mechanically sealed seems like a very dodgy image to put out to the world. (I do not intend to slight the content of this book at all, so I am leaving positive star ratings).
