I enjoyed both impulsive Beckett and straight-laced Kit, but they're even better together--all their history of friendship makes for a wonderful base for their relationship, even if they don't know how to make their opposing goals work. I love how the author brought out the quirky traditions to their friendship, like climbing in and out of windows to see each other. Aren't old friendships like that? You've known each other so long and well that even when you haven't seen each other in years, you can fall right back into the old patterns. It's like coming home. That's how Kit and Beckett's relationship seemed to me: coming home.

What a tear-jerker! Not sad tears, but tears from all the healing in the story. The title perfectly fits the theme of the book--keep holding on. To your dreams, to hope, to God. I also sense a theme of restoration in Tagg's books: saving an old orchard, rescuing the small-town paper, restoring a restaurant, fixing up the historic depot, not to mention all the restoration in her characters' lives, both main characters and secondary.

It's been a lot of fun getting to know the Walker family, and I'm definitely looking forward to Rae's story!

The Walker family is one of my very favorite fictional families, and I love spending time with them in Maple Valley! Full of charm, Keep Holding On delighted me from the first word until the last. I adored the wit and humor of Kit and Becketts story, as well as the wonderful wisdom that is woven through its pages. The orchard, Willa, and a baby goat were also among my favorites, but youll have to read the book to find out more. Dramatic and romantic, Keep Holding On is a must-read romance!

I received a complimentary copy of this book. No review was required, and all thoughts expressed are my own.

Keep Holding On is the third full-length novel in Melissa Taggs Walker Family series and I was so excited to be returning to the town of Maple Valley and getting to visit with some characters that have become dear friends. Ive adored the previous books in the series, so of course, I lunged at the chance to read this book and I can very happily say that I was not disappointed! Ive been anticipating Becketts book since first learning of the prodigal and I quickly fell in love with his passionate, impulsive, all-in character. Returning to Maple Valley is definitely always worth the trip.

As always, Ms. Tagg does an excellent job with the details and descriptions of this book. I could almost smell the apples, feel the leaves crunching under my feet, hear the wind whistling through the trees. The images her words create come to vivid life on the pages and I loved it! My one and only negative comment (and the only reason Im going with 4.5 rather than 5 stars) is that I became a little frustrated with how much time would elapse between some of the chapters. An important event would happen, then it would suddenly be a week later. Ms. Tagg did fill in the gaps and I do understand that she needed the spacing to allow for certain parts of the story. It just bugged me a time or two. But, it did play out well for Beckett and Kits relationship, which I have to tell you is so sweet! Seriously! I caught myself sighing a time or two at the crazy, silly, or romantic moments between them.

Characters are always my favorite part of any story and this one is no exception! I adored Kit and Beckett and their story encouraged me so much! Kit is thoughtful. Shes the look before you leap type and not one to take on things or make decisions lightly. But when it comes to her familys orchard, she cant let it go. She is kind, caring, also strong, determined, and searching. I loved getting to know her and the way her character resonated with me. She is so realistic and easily relatable that I loved her from our very first meeting.

And Beckett. I couldnt possibly forget him! Hes the charming one, the sweet talker. The one who seems like he has his life all together, but then finds it crashing around him. Hes the one who takes that first step and worries about the rest later. I loved his zest for life, his determination to make his mom proud and do something worthwhile. And I loved how his character changed throughout the story, as he learned to embrace who he was instead of fighting to become someone different. His family played a huge role in the story and I love how they all challenge, razz, encourage, and hold each other up.

I also adored how Ms. Tagg wove the theme of the title throughout the story. It became the foundation for so many things and the basis of the spiritual side of the story. Much of the focus is about continuing to hold on to God during the rough times, but it also plays out in so many ways: Beckett holding on to his dreams, Kit holding on to the orchard, and both of them finally learning how to hold on to one another. I just loved that! And there are so many great quotes throughout the book that Id love to share, but I dont want to take away the fun of finding them yourself!

I highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys contemporary romance!

My thanks to the author for my copy of this book! I was not required to write a positive review and have not been compensated for it in any way. All opinions expressed are my own.

Keep Holding On is the third full-length novel in the Walker Family Series. I have adored every book in this series, and this one is no exception. I love the Walkers...all of them. They are a family that you just want to belong to, hang out with, have the privilege of knowing. I know the characters in these books are fictional, honest, but they've become my friends nonetheless. I care about what happens to them and I learn Godly lessons right along with them. Therefore, it's always a joy to join Melissa Tagg in Maple Valley to check in with our friends there.

As this story begins, both Beckett and Kit are returning to Maple Valley after six years of absence. The hurt that each of them carries and has to face is great. Melissa's characters do not shy away from hard things, so they have to learn throughout the story how to trust God in their own lives and in the lives of their loved ones.

Keep Holding On is full of emotion, from the highs of homecomings and weddings to the lows of disasters and heartbreak. This book is full of the complexities of relationships...the kind that lift you up and the kind that tear you down. This book is full of healing and learning to trust God in all things. This book is full of love.

I love that Melissa is obedient to write the stories God gives her. They are beautiful and touching. I believe God uses them to touch the lives of those who read them. I know that mine was touched...by the pain and the beauty of life in a fallen world, being loved by a gracious and forgiving God.

If you haven't read any of the Walker Series yet, you're truly missing out. Since, I always suggest starting from the beginning, download Three Little Words, the FREE prequel novella. It will give you a great taste of the Walkers in Maple Valley and their town and friends. If you have stopped by Maple Valley before, then let this be your announcement that Beckett and Kit's book is now available, and you want to buy it right now. :)

    *My Thoughts*

I think I would probably hit someone over the head if they read this book, and then tried to tell me it wasn't the cutest story ever. I ADORE Beck & Kit! Melissa hit so many check marks on my list, I can't even tell you. Here are a few:

-Best friend romances are adorable to me. (I'm a teenage girl!)

-Kit is a horticulturist. (I want to be a horticulturist)

    - I love nicknames. (C'mon, 'Beck' is just shy of perfect.)

    - The main setting takes place in an apple orchard. (It's perfect!)

So, there are a few reasons why this book hits my top 5 of 2016.

Although I guess we could also add the unexpected spiritual depths that made this so much more than "fluff".

We could absolutely add that Melissa's fun, quirky humor infused the novel with smiles and chuckles.

We could add that my mother put down everything she had to do, so she could sit down and read for a few minutes. (That never happens!)

Yep, Melissa, another winner. The next one is out, like, yesterday, right?!

*I received this book free of charge from the author.
