I was given this book from an Occupational Therapist before beginning advanced anatomy courses in college(20 something years ago). It was an amazing and helpful resource to help me study. Now, my son is taking Apologia Advanced Biology and he is getting to use the same book (newer edition). I couldn't be more thrilled. It helps him study anatomy and begin to learn body parts that can have quite complicated names (it can feel like your memorizing a foreign language). Having a visual and kinetic resource to assist in this memorization has helped him test well in his science class and helped me when I pursued my degree. It's fun seeing something that helped my generation succeed still assisting my child in his generation.

My 15yr daughter is really enjoying this book as a large part of her chosen subject of Biology for Home Ed. She's been testing everyone at home and loves it when her father, a long time nurse, gets stuck on the odd question!!

    Super resourse!

Q: Can this book be purchased and used by itself? Or, must it accompany the Apologia AP Biology? We are not taking the Biology class, so I was wondering if this book could stand alone.

A:

This is a stand-alone book. Although it is used as a supplemental item for other curricula, nothing else is required to use the book.

Q: Difference between 4th & 5th editions? Apologia requires the 4th edition for its Anatomy course. Is there much of a difference between them?

A:

This should work for the Advanced Biology: The Human Body course as well.
