Series: Beautiful Justice
Andrew McKenzie has lived most of his life tormented by guilt and pain, haunted by the secrets of his past. When he is hired to work for Sienna and Jonathan Driscoll, his life changes more drastically than he could have ever imagined. Before long, Drew learns that this is not an ordinary job. There is definitely something unusual about the Driscoll family. Especially their son, Justice Quinn.
Drew is introduced to the Driscolls’ daughter, Bella Maura, with whom he shares a special bond. As his relationship with Bella develops, Drew learns that he is not the only one hiding a secret. Each new day brings with it shocking revelations about the unique spiritual gifts of the Driscolls, and their God-given obligation to people suffering at the hands of the darkness and evil of the world.
Where is God’s justice? Does anyone hear the prayers of the abused, those too broken and weak to defend themselves? Why does it seem that so often the unjust escape punishment on the earth? Justice Quinn deals with each of these questions, as well as the concept of intercessory prayer, in order to help us understand why God’s timing must be reverenced.
Dawn Dyson began her passion for writing with her first novel Mercy Sky, and has since written another novel, Bella Maura, the first in her Beautiful Justice series. She lives on a farm in Nebraska with her husband, horses, dogs, and cats. Dawn currently serves as the farms office manager and has earned degrees in special education and animal science. She enjoys gardening, listening to music, Bible study, reading, and traveling. Dawn sees her talent for writing as a gift, describing it as "creating under the guidance and grace of the Master Creator" and hopes her books will bless others and bring them closer to Christ. frugalexperimentsCentral ILAge: 35-44Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5Beautifully writtenJanuary 6, 2012frugalexperimentsCentral ILAge: 35-44Gender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 4Meets Expectations: 5Justice Quinn is the second book in the Beautiful Justice Series, written by Dawn Dyson. I have said this before in my review of Bella Maura by Dawn Dyson, and I'm going to say it again here in this review. Ms. Dyson's writing is lyrical, it's as if she is painting a picture with words. The book is poetic, almost songlike in its rhythm and flow, in the way she describes everyday beauty.
In this second book in the series, Bella has grown into a powerfully gifted young woman, whose gift is intercessory prayer. Bella and Drew meet after he is offered a very unusual job by the Driscolls, and he instantly feels a connection. Little does he know that theirs is a special bond that was forged many years before during one of his darkest hours.
In this book we also meet Bella's brother, Justice, whom we met towards the end of Bella Maura, who also has a powerful gift. The secret God-given work that the Driscolls are doing is slowly revealed in this beautifully written story of love and intercessory prayer. It's about learning to lean on God and trust that He is doing what is necessary in His time frame, not ours. I was totally captivated by the characters in this book and am anxiously awaiting the third book in the series, so I can see where God and the author takes them.
Disclosure of Material Connection: I received this book free from the author. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.
Kayla5 Stars Out Of 5Great bookJanuary 6, 2012KaylaQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5It was around a year ago that I read Bella Maura, the first book in the Beautiful Justice series by Dawn Dyson, and I have eagerly awaited book two since then. The second book, Justice Quinn, was published and I was excited to be able to see where the story would go.
I wasn't disappointed at all. I was completely unable to put it down. I love the imagery the author paints with her words and the intense suspense that she creates. I was very impressed with the way the two books intertwined and just how intricately the story was weaved. I found myself in tears on more than a few occasions. I have grown rather fond of the uniquely intense characters.
Her books stir something inside of me, causing me to yearn for a more and more spiritual relationship with God. The story literally puts a face on justice and faith, allowing for the two concepts to be seen in a new light. I find myself pondering on her words long after I've finished reading.
A wonderful series that I will be reading more than once.
Now, time to wait for book 3, Mason Michael: The Heaven Projection.

Tell us a little about yourself. I'm a Nebraska novelist and Justice Quinn is my third release. It is Book Two of the Beautiful Justice series. Book Three is currently in the making and the one I am most excited about!
What was your motivation behind this project? Justice Quinn is part of a series of books. The first of the Beautiful Justice series, Bella Maura, was written for the heart of young women, especially those who may have struggled with abuse. Justice Quinn parallels this idea, but was written for the heart of young men. The fictional characters in each book detail what life could become if people would turn away from the world and look to Jesus for their healing and Salvation. Although anyone can enjoy either title, these audiences were my primary focus while developing the first two books of the series.
What do you hope folks will gain from this project? I hope my readers will be inspired to passionately live a life for Christ. My primary goal is that new Christians, or even non-Christians, will find the characters relevant, and in so doing, will begin to imagine a better life for themselves. Visualization is very important when reformulating a lifestyle. These books show the heart of Christ for all people, no matter what their life has been like so far. And many long-term Christians find them refreshing and inspiring as well.
How were you personally impacted by working on this project? A series is a lot of hard work, but it takes a writer (and reader) so much further into the heart of the matter. I loved writing this series. Book Three is really bringing it all together in an amazing way. I am very grateful to God for bringing the ideas to me and to my family for allowing me the time to complete it well. Books are not finished until they are read, so I thank my readers very much.
Who are your influences, sources of inspiration or favorite authors / artists? I am mostly influenced by the Word of God and His direct revelation to me. I don't claim to come up with this stuff on my own, whether it is material for my books or instruction for my own life. Music inspires me greatly as does nature, my horses and pets, and people. Personal struggles are great teachers as well, though they are not easy. My favorite authors include Joyce Meyer, George MacDonald, Saint Paul, and Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. I have a stack of Frank Peretti, David Barton and John/Staci Eldredge to get through when this series is completed.
Anything else you'd like readers / listeners to know: Thank you for reading and enjoying my books! I hope you get a lot of good out of them.
