Junior Analytical Grammar Set

A gentle introduction to English grammar, Jr. Analytical Grammar is an 11-week course designed to help 4th and 5th grade students master the parts of speech, parts of a sentence, and classic sentence diagramming. Created in response to parents, it covers the same material found in the first ten units of Analytical Grammar, but with shorter exercises and a lower reading level. It is also more teacher-intensive. Incremental in its approach, each unit builds on the one before it, with each lesson taking approximately one week to complete.

The student book contains a number of worksheets that include instructions and exercises, as well as separate test pages. The teacher's guide includes a day-by-day suggested schedule for each week, as well as a short introduction to teaching each unit. The same lesson notes are included in both the teacher's and student guides; the teacher's guide includes the full-size student worksheets with the correct answers overlaid. Grades 4-5.
